  1. you're an idiot.

every level up on the Richter scale is 1000x stronger than the one before. 5 is decent enough to do damage.

I live in LA, we get a lot of earthquakes here in southern california, and we literally wouldn't stop anything for a 5, maybe not even a 6. We might stop for a second, make sure it's not the "big one(8-9)", then continue with life like nothing happened.

  2. I kinda love those old Volvo's. Cool car. Looks like a shit ton of work though.

If you want a free windshield, drive around town until you find a cement mixer, or dump truck carrying rocks or whatever. Call the number on the back of the truck and complain that something fell off it and broke your windshield. They'll check to see if they had a truck in that area at the time, and most likely pay for your new windshield through insurance.

  3. i never thought honda integrated vtec into motorcycles. i want this on a cbr stat.

    RITE?!?!?!?!?!?!?

vtec, on a dang production bike.

I'm already trying to sell my CBR so I can get a VFR, and get into touring instead. Also considering a BMW F800GS, dream touring would be a KTM Adventure R.

If you wanna buy an 08 CBR, with 18.2k miles hit me up.  :P

    EDIT: located in LA, CA....

  4. So as many of you know I own a ninja 250, while lacking in power it's still very fun to ride. I've got around 3000 miles on it now and by the end of this season plan to upgrade to a 600cc bike. I have throttle control and am not a COMPLETE idiot, hell I haven't even topped my 250 out yet. I was looking into some bikes and lowered my search to an 07 CBR600 and maybe an R6 (suggestions are welcome)

By far my favorite choice of style and paintjob, my parents are trying to get me to lean into Harleys (We've got 2) but I'm not planning to switch to one anytime soon and get one of these. They're taking me to a dealer and the dealer said I could test drive any of them since I have my license . After this season I plan to have around 6000k miles all together, I figure they would be cheaper at that time too. I checked up on all the things that the bikes offer and I really do like the CBR600 and that paintjob just adds to it's fucking sexy look.

I honestly semi-regret my CBR600RR, it's loads of fun, fast, love it's styling, etc. BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT, I find it gets me into trouble for wanting to speed, and really does get uncomfortable after an hour or two of riding. I wish I had waited around and looked harder for my true dream bike of a VFR800. V4 with loads of torque and effing VTEC, comfortable but still very sporty, reliable as hell, cool looking especially with it's single sided swingarm, and can takes bags if you ever really wanna go somewhere with it.

  5. @DrKahn you seem to of gotten off easy but

If you are buying anything with a motor you have to choose 2 of the following

    Cheap, Fast, and Reliable.

    You can't have all 3.

One last thing: if you buy a tuner car as your first car, your gonna have a bad time.

^ True dat about a tuner. Luckily I was in highschool, and my job was within biking distance, but there were plenty of times where my 240sx sat on safety jacks for a week while I bought new bolts for the ones that inevitably broke. Cheap, fast, buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut, not reliable. Get a clean DD first. My friend wound up getting a nice clean lancer 8, a nice budget alternative to the Evo, in high school, and it was a great car.

  6. I had a couple cars first (240sx, Audi S4, Miata), then decided to go motorcycle only. I got away with it pretty well living here in SoCal (Nice weather pretty much year round). I thought I'd be fine without a car, and didn't see many reasons i needed to have one. I got along fine for about 10 months with just a motorcycle, until I eventually bought another car (My current tacoma). That being said, random stuff came up that I never thought about. One that sticks out in my head was having to transport a 50lb bag of dog food in a hiking backpack, it wasn't TOO bad, but little stuff like that came up time to time. I never had to drive friends to lunch. It made it a little awkward dating, because it meant I always had to ask my date to drive.

TL:DR Motorcycle only wasn't TOO bad, but I have perfect weather in SoCal. I would recommend getting a car first, paying it off so you don't have any monthly payments. Buy a cheaper-ish first bike with cash, get tired of it, sell for cash, use as down payment on your first nice bike.

P.S. Evo X is not a cheap car. But honestly I like the evo 8/9's a ton, plus the older ones are a bit more sleeper, which is more my style. You can probably find an evo 8 for a really great price, use the money saved to do your mods.

  7. Spending the extra money on a "sports car" just to have an automatic transmission just seems stupid to me. Women tend to drive automatic sports cars, hence the women comment.

You could claim a manual is faster, though most automatics will outshift any manual these days, you get a few more mph on the verrrrrry top end, who cares. You could say you get better MPG, but anybody with a sports car in manual can't keep their foot off the peddle long enough for that to ever become true. Modern automatics need less servicing, and don't burn through clutches. You still get a sports car feel with paddle shifters when you want, but retains it's daily drivability over a manual car. You never have to worry about loaning your car to your girlfriend to drive and having her destroy your clutch.

All that being said i have a manual truck and two motorcycles, soooooo.... But I think the truck would honestly be nicer in automatic.

    EDIT: AS FOR THE RIMS

Stock it up, the stock rims are well made and don't look half bad. Save the money and get actual performance oriented mods. Say a new 3' exhaust so you can begin to start tuning it.

  8. Playing airsoft with friends is all good fun imo. But yes, playing walk-ins in big group fighting just devolves into a cheaters paradise. I will occasionally still play with friends in the woods, but after the 250th time of hitting some kid in the leg because he's behind shit cover, and having him brush it off, airsoft gets old.

Another airsoft advantage is that it's way cheaper for a decent/starting setup, and BB's are WAY cheaper than paint. I could spend like $60-80 a day for paint alone, whereas $20 is enough for like 2 sessions of BB's. A n ice paintball gun will put you into the 700-1000 range, where you can get a pretty decent airsoft setup starting at like 300-400.

P.S. IF you're looking for a nicely priced entry level gun that won't shit out on you after 3-6 months, drop just a little more and get one of the KWA M4 series. Super solid from the factory, probably the best factory guns. The KWA's take the V2 gearboxs nicely, and are super easy to go back and upgrade, parts galore.

  9. I used to airsoft and paintball, until I tore my ACL, haven't really gone back to it because the fields were so far from me. I still have my KWA M93 Special Edition, and an A&K Masada that I built up myself. Bravo v2 gearbox, with ball bearing conversion, M140 spring, forgot the brand motor but a new one to go with the M140, custom pistons (went through a lot of them with the M140) kept the original gear set and trigger assembly, runs a 6.03mm extended precision barrel with "supressor" to cover the extra length, shoots around 400-410fps with .28g bb's and 11.1v volt LiPo. Optics on it is an imitation ACOG, but at least has real magnifying optics. Also has a magpul foregrip, magpul sling, and runs Bravo M4 magazines.

Photos are like 4 years old now.

This was with foregrip and stock barrel with meat grinder muzzle break instead.

  10. IMO the races with a lot movement need to be toned down a bit and Elvish, Ranger and Golden Tail should definitely be hit with the nerf hammer.

Elvish should be a bit slower, ranger should get less damage reduction, and golden tail shouldn't have any evade. Problem solved.

  11. Auto-bhop allows longjump races to get absurd speeds. No, no, no.

It's not auto, it's just allows you to actually bunny hop. It's similar to how the Surf server is.

  12. But what then when they just get on another race they have 100+ levels in to whore that race next connect then go back to the previous race when they whore that etc. With that rule what stops them from just whoring 2 races and alternating between their "ban" of the race.

That wouldn't really work in the way you described, unless you're reconnecting to reset your score (which would be considered evasion of the rule). If you have a KDR of over 4:1 it will change you off any race that is max level. You can't for example play a race level 80, get your 24+ kills & KDR, then switch to another race that is already max level. It will force you off said race in one round, assuming you kept your 4:1 KDR. If you have every race leveled to max it will randomly change your race every round until you're below a KDR of 4:1. From what I understand you basically can't (shouldn't) play that race again until map change, but from a code/gameplay perspective you're not actually banned from it.

The way I understood the rule is basically on each new map you have a clean slate, you can play your level 80+ race until you get you get changed, you can't return to it until next map.

  13. Just played, wisp and cannibal are effin ridiculous. I mean sure it was fun, but purty ridiculous. Exactly what Ikea was saying, I can get to the other side of the map faster than most can even get out of spawn.

  14. After trying many different blends and what not, I've sorta settled on Nu-tek Pro 5 orange 50-50 flavor. It tastes quite good, it blends and dissolves well, it's not pumped full of sugar/carbs *cough* muscle milk *cough*, and has a very good amino profile. Downside is you can't buy it online easily; it's only carried through Nutrishop I believe. Nutrishop is a chain though, so you might have one close to you, dunno. It's also more expensive than some other protein powders, but not ridiculously priced.

Here's a link that shows the Nu-Tek lineup and what the branding/packaging looks like.

  15. The whole easy mode bunny hop where you simply hold down space is retarded. Maybe if you tweaked the settings to make true bunnyhopping possible would be nice. But the whole "HOLD SPACE BARR DURR" is unbalanced and takes a lot of skill out of many classes.

  16. I've also noticed people crouch while firing which makes the chest hitbox very hard to hit, maybe make it so when you crouch you are more vulnerable in other areas?

Not to be the jerk here, buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut, that sounds like a "you" problem. lrn 2 aim.

EDIT: Look at Skitt giving neg reps, gawsh.
