Don't know why Garry's Mod would need two advisors. I also have not had good experiences with Ben, remembering one particular incident where he blatantly lied to Lindsay about Canadian Bill's lying/abusive actions in response to an incident between us.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/246920/Bombernauts/ This is a great party game for anyone that likes the concept of Bomberman. While it isn't quite the same as that series, it is similar. Instead of playing on overhead battlefields trying to blow each other map on a fixed map with only fixed levels of destruction, this changes the field so that it is in a fully 3D environment that can be destroyed. You also lob bombs, akin to being a mortar. There isn't too much to explain about the gameplay, other than that you have to blow each other off of the map using explosives. This game is currently on sale for $5.99 for a four-pack. That means if you buy the four-pack, you can gift three other copies of the game to your friends. It supports at least four players online, so even if you only get a few hours of fun out of this game every few months, it is still very well-priced and offers a BLAST of an experience!

    Slap City

https://store.steampowered.com/app/725480/Slap_City/ This game is under $5 on Steam, at the moment. It has four-player online VS mode. Be warned, though. A controller is pretty much necessary for it! It has a current roster of six characters, with two more being planned for in the coming months. Several of us in the community already have it (Jeff, Noms, York, Camel, Avery)! The game has a surprising amount of depth, which allows for a lot of possible competitive gameplay. It's the best thing next to an emulated version of the Smash Bros. games on PC.

    Culture of sG

Something that I do not see a lot of emphasis on is that staff tends to not talk about their planned server releases well enough in advance. There are faint inklings and whispers of new servers being worked on, but there are no official posts. How is the community supposed to get properly invested into the possible upcoming content, if they do not know much about what is actually coming up? One such example is the ZS game mode for Garry's Mod. This has been discussed for years, and there was some recent staff interest in it, once again. Is it really what anyone in the wider community wants? Will it be marketed properly so that people that would want it actually know about it? How would it be ethically monetized to offset additional server resource usage and engineer commitment? The answers to those questions won't be know until the project is much closer to completion, if it is even being worked on or being seriously considered. Earlier disclosure of such projects might also help with drawing in programming talent that could help with release of said projects. sG does not have a large internal analytical department that it can utilize to predicate the answers to these and other relevant questions. This is where greater prominence throughout the whole community, as opposed to the veiled curtain approach maintained by staff, would be helpful in deciding proper resource contribution and direction. Going concurrently with the example mentioned above, servers should have easily digestible statistics released about player activity on a monthly basis, if possible. Game.me does contain server statistics, but they are not easily digestible or condensed. If there was a way to condense server info into monthly activity graphs and conglomerate it into a monthly post, this would bring more awareness to server population and performance to everyone.

This ain't a stepping down thread. This is a stepping UP thread. You're stepping up to get yourself a better skillset and honed discipline.

    Community Update 5/31/18

PUBG has been testing out private servers, the past couple of months. That is a huge game with a lot of current community participation, and I know some other communities have gotten access to such servers. This would not be immediate, unfortunately. ZS has been talked about for a long time, and there was a prototype made a few years ago. With the removal of the central development server for the game mode (Noxious Net), there has been an uptake in other servers. Most of that population has migrated to Sun Rust, but we do have an avid core group that does play ZS, and it might get interest from ZE players. It is interesting to consider the future of sG servers, given the decline of interest in TTT and CSGO in general. More avid and active developers should be looked into, as a lot of our current engineers are busy with real-life work, unfortunately.
